Il programma nel dettaglio

Come and discover one of Spain's oldest cathedrals –Metropolitan and Primatial – built over the ruins of the ancient Roman temple of Augustus and dedicated to St. Thecla, the patron saint of the city. Located in the highest part of the city, the Cathedral welcomes you with two imposing 12th-century Romanesque doors and a beautiful rose window, which represents the anteroom of an interior rich in works of art. Admire the main altar, where sculptures of the Virgin, Santa Tecla and San Pablo or the Sepulcher of the Archbishop and the Chapel of Santa María, two Gothic jewels, stand out.

Don't miss the chance to admire this spectacular 14th-century monumental site, which combines a predominance of Romanesque and Gothic styles to create a space that is original and unique throughout the world. Spirituality, religious art, and history come together in a formidable monumental complex, made up of the Cathedral, the Cloister, and the Diocesan Museum. As you walk through the rooms and take home an unforgettable memory of one of the most symbolic images of the city.
