Il programma nel dettaglio
Since time immemorial Seville has defined itself by its relationship with water. The great River Guadalquivir, which flows through its heart, was its link to the New World and brought prosperity and cosmopolitanism to the city. Today, you can discover Seville through the river with a fascinating three-hour kayak tour that takes in the most famous sights and attractions from a different perspective.
Your adventure begins on dry land with a small basic workshop where you will learn how to row and manage the kayak. We will cross the river from Triana up to La Cartuja island (so named after a Carthusian monastery that has been located there for centuries) discovering the history and the monuments of Seville as we go along. During the route we will see the sights of Seville from the river, the colourful Calle Betis (a waterfront street famed for its colourful houses and nightlife), the Triana Bridge and the popular neighbourhood of the same name, the gardens of the Guadalquivir or the bridge from which Ferdinand Magellan set off on his journey to become the first man to sail around the world (he didn’t make it back but others in the expedition did).
