Program details

Departure from the hotel in Bangkok early in the morning (around 6 AM) to reach the city of Petchburi. Arrival at the headquarters of the Wildlife Friends Foundation, a non-governmental project based on the financial and active support of private individuals. The aim of the foundation is to rehabilitate, cure and protect wild animals rescued from places where they were exploited and abused, such as working, tourist attractions, private zoos, captured by poachers and so on. Visiting the foundation is one way to contribute to their protection and welfare and to maintain them in n natural reserve. The excursion lasts a full day. Upon arrival, one of the volunteers of the Foundation will show you the various sections of the camp and explain the types of assistance and care offered daily to the animals. Afterwards, the guide will show the 450 animals (elephants, monkeys, felines, bears) while describing their sad stories, the reasons why they were rescued and brought to the foundation. Lunch at the Foundation - Thai-Vegetarian buffet style together with all the volunteers of the foundation. After lunch, we follow the attendants in their daily activities. The most pleasant and entertaining is the short walk alongside the elephants, which ends at a river where the elephants refresh themselves and are washed and brushed. This is a unique opportunity to swim with the elephants and interact with them. Afterwards we visit other areas of the foundation, reserved for other animals, including bears and various types of felines. The visit to the foundation ends at 15:30. Return to Bangkok and transfer to the hotel.
