Holy Bali: Lempuyang and Besakih Tour

Our full day tour will start in the area of Mount Lempuyang, where a group of seven temples will lead us to the highest temple of Bali. The temple complex is approximately 95 km from Nusa Dua. After our visit to the temples, we will drive for 20 km to the Tirtha Gangga Royal Water Garden rich in pools, ponds and fountains and surrounded by tropical gardens and many decorative statues.



This extravagant water gardens are owned by the royal Karangasem Family. We will have our lunch at a local restaurant in Rendang while admiring the rice terrace view. After lunch we will proceed to the Besakih Temple, also known in Bali, as The Mother Temple, being the largest Hindu temple of the island. Located on the southern slope of Sacred Mount Agung we will climb to the highest part of the temple complex, which counts more than eighty individual temples, and admire the wide landscape on rice paddies, lush forest and the infinite ocean view.



The Besakih Temple is located 900 meters above sea level and has been regarded as a holy place since pre-historic times in Bali. The first recorded mention of its existence is from an inscription that dates from 1007 A.D. Our tour will end here and we'll return to the hotel.
