Scape ParkThe adventure starts with a vigorous hike up into the slopes of El Farallon Cliff, when we reach the top of the cliff we will hike through pristine jungle while you learn all about the flora and fauna of the D.R and many of the secrets that the jungle holds: natural medicines, herbs, barks and many plants that are still used today by natural healers throughout the Island.
After a 25 minute hike we will reach the mouth of the cave, we will enter the cave through an eco friendly staircase and then our trained cavers will guide you through the vast underground network of chambers and tunnels that lie beneath while our guides educate you all about the cave formations. You will exit through a different mouth of the cave with no need of rappelling as we have built and eco friendly staircase for your comfort.
Hoyo Azul Eco Tour
Our Hoyo Azul ecological tour is designed to educate and bring our visitors face to face with nature to observe the Dominican Republic’s eco systems and how many different plants grow and proliferate in a controlled and also wild environment. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide that will guide you through amazing eco trails where you will have the opportunity to visit an Orchid, Bromeliad, fern, cactus and endemic plants station, stopping briefly at each station and learning everything about these fascinating species of plants.
The tour will end up at Hoyo Azul Cave; this is a natural pool, with crystal clear blue water, formed at the base of a giant cliff. Visitors will be able to jump in and enjoy these fresh and reviving waters for 30 minutes.
