After departing El Calafate, you will soon begin the moderate descent to the footbridges of the Perito Moreno Glacier, and arriving at Puerto las Sombras.



Revel n the beauty of the natural surroundings as the trek continues to the south wall, where you will marvel the Canal de los Tempanos, before making the way to the other side of the Brazo Rico, to the refuge, where the beginning of the footpath which will lead to the base of the glacier. In small groups, enjoy a brief 20-minute walk through the Andean forest, before getting a burst of adrenaline as you are equipped with special gear and prepared to make your way across the ice. Savour the sensational icy rugged, picturesque surroundings as you set off on the 1 hour and 40-minute adventure.



Afterwards, return to the mountain refuge where you will refuel with a tasty boxed lunch, before you begin your trek back to your starting point. Returning along the footbridges of the Perito Moreno Glacier, you will get another dose of the beauty of the landscape, and plenty of free time to take in the views, before returning to El Calafate.
