The thrilling discovery of the Michelangelo works in Florence, includes not only the renowned “David”: if you already had the opportunity to admire the breathtaking beauty of the most famous sculpture of all time, this tour will allow you to experience other intense emotions Inside its famous and wonderful monuments, the town preserves many masterpieces of the great Florentine artist, who lived and worked in his town for more than 30 years.
The itinerary that we propose, retracing sites which are symbols of Michelangelo life, it is also the occasion to discover the lifestyle in our town during the great artist age, the works of many other artists of the renaissance, marvelous monuments and characteristic glimpses of ancient and lively districts. Our art history, leads you through an exciting itinerary in three stages. Beginning from the visit of the famous gotic church of Santa Croce. In this fascinating sacred place, incredible treasure chest of art, there is also the tomb of Michelangelo built by Vasari.
The discovery continues with the Bargello Museum, where, among the renaissance sculptures collection all over the world, many wonderful works of Michelangelo are exhibited, such as the “Bacco” and “Tondo Doni”, the “Bruto” and the “David-Apollo”. Finally the itinerary ends in the Casa Buonarroti Museum, where the early drawings and works of the great artist are preserved, between them the “Battaglia dei Centauri” and the “Madonna della Scala”, carved by Michelangelo when he was just over twenty years.
