Casa Milà, popularly known as ‘La Pedrera’, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a
reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains.
La Pedrera is probably one of the most famous buildings of the Modernista or Catalan Art Nouveau period and
one of the architect Antoni Gaudí’s most ambitious works. It is a container that is a work of art in itself.
As a cultural centre, La Pedrera hosts
outstanding art exhibitions and debates that connect with present and future lines of thought.
Sagrada Familia Marvel at Gaudi’s Modernist interpretation of Gothic architecture with a visit to the stunning temple of the Sagrada Familia,
one of the most extraordinary buildings not just in Barcelona but anywhere in the world. Contemplate the glorious exterior of a church that has divided opinion since vanguardist architect Antoni Gaudi’s monumental project first began.
Casa Batlló Discover one of the jewels in Barcelona’s Crown: a brilliant, colourful and distinctive masterpiece. The Casa Batlló is a true reflection of the imagination and creative genius of Antoni Gaudí. Be enchanted by this magnificent building!
