Program details
Discover one of the most symbolic buildings in Barcelona; be inspired by rich colours and be amazed by grand architecture on a tour into the Palau de la Música Catalana. One of the most recommended tourist attractions in Barcelona, this tour is not to be missed.
Step into the magical music box that is the Palau de la Música Catalana and a treasure of Art Nouveau architecture will be revealed before your eyes. Beginning in the Foyer, wide arches ornately decorated with ceramic flowers welcome you in and provide an inspiring start to the tour. The tour leads you deeper into the building to the Rehearsal Hall of the Orfeó Catala, still used to this day after more than 100 years, where the foundation stones to the building were first laid. Continue along the grand staircase that will equally impress with its intricate decoration, before arriving into the Lluís Millet Hall, where you can catch sight of the large balcony adorned with columns symbolising every kind of flower.
Next is the pièce de résistance every visitor has been waiting to see: the Concert Hall. You’ll be spellbound by jaw dropping rich colours and decoration that inspire artists to this day. Admire the natural golden light that enhances the hall from the impressive skylight on the second floor, before ending the tour on a musical note to the sounds of the organ. The magnificence and vibrancy of the sculptures, mosaics, stained glass and ironwork that characterise the Palau, are brought to the foreground on this not to be missed tour.
