Jump the queues and step into one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world: the Uffizi Gallery. Simply unparalleled in terms of architectural splendour as well as the incredible Renaissance art it houses, the gallery was constructed under the capable direction of the founder of art history, Georgio Vasari. See the most renowned collections of paintings and ancient statues with your guide before continuing behind closed doors to the Vasari Corridor.
Set above the streets of Florence, you’ll be treated to privileged views over the Ponte Vecchio and surroundings from the closely guarded corridor. Constructed in record time, just over five months, it was designed by Giorgio Vasari and served the purpose of free and safe movement between the palace and the Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici’s offices. Rarely open to the public, take the chance to walk as the duke did above the goldsmith’s shops and across the city centre all whilst admitting the largest collection of self-portraits.
Meeting/pick-up point: Pick-up from selected hotels in the centre.
Duration: 3 hours.
Others: Tour not available on May 1st.
