Program details
Join this one of a kind tour if you want to experience a taste of traditional Spanish atmosphere; if that’s what you are after, this trip is an absolute must. Begin the day with a sightseeing tour that takes you to many of the city’s most famous landmark such as The Old Tobacco Factory – the inspiration behind Bizet’s opera Carmen and now home to the University of Seville – and the former royal San Telmo Palace where the Andalusian Government now sits. You can also see the Macarena Basilica site of the Virgin of Hope, Seville’s holiest of symbols. You also have time to visit the fabulous crescent shaped square of Plaza Espana, centrepiece of the Hispano-American exhibition in 1929
Next your view of the city changes as you board a river cruiser and float past even more architectural gems and famous districts of the city. Float past the lively social life on Betis street and under the Triana Bridge, the oldest in Seville. Admire the view of La Cartuja, a monastery where Christopher Columbus once stayed and in later years a ceramics factory.
Your day comes to an exciting climax at a typical XIX Sevillian mansion in the Macarena district where the true spirit of Andalusia comes alive. The spectacular show of Flamenco and Spanish guitar will leave you breathless. The elegant performers energetically convey the heart and depth of this inspiring tradition carrying you along to the very soul of this land.
