Program details
See the breath-taking skyline of Seville from an unparalleled vantage point: the rooftops. This exciting tour invites you to contemplate the extraordinarily rich architecture of this history-riddled city from the city’s roofs and balconies, a truly romantic experience that will stay in your memory for many years to come.
Seville cannot be fully comprehended without its Islamic past; what we now know as Seville is the result of many centuries of being part of the caliphate followed by many other centuries of hardline Catholic rule. The result is a city full of contrasting constructions that include the richness of both cultures. Seville owes to its Islamic past the little winding streets and hidden squares dotted with Moorish towers, heirs of the ancient minarets that used to poke out of mosques; on the other hand, it owes to its Catholic years a rich Roman Baroque architecture. Seville is filled with domes and belfries often secluded in hardly visible traditional farmhouses.
When contemplating this jumble of historical influences from the heights of balconies and terraces, all of Seville’s usually hidden wonders appear clearly before your eyes. Instead of having to get lost in the little twisting streets or travelling to godforsaken country corners, admire all the wonders laid out before you as if you were looking at a beautifully detailed canvas painting. At the end of the trip, you will also be able to enjoy a heart-warming snack. Join us and see Seville like you’ve never seen it before.
